About this site
Radif Partners measures the great-circle distance between the two airports from OurAirports public-domain coordinates, then applies the text that governs the flight: EU Regulation 261/2004 as amended by Regulation (EU) 2026/2202, the UK's retained UK261 on legislation.gov.uk, or Canada's SOR/2019-150. You see the amount the airline owes before any claims company takes its cut, and the claim letter is assembled in your browser, never sent by us.
Why it exists
Type “flight delay compensation” into a search engine and most of the first page belongs to claims companies. Their calculators are funnels: they ask for your booking reference and email before showing anything, and when they win they keep a share of the payment, commonly a quarter to a third once VAT is added. The airline owes you the full amount, and the claim itself is a letter. This site gives you the exact figure, the deadline and the letter, and leaves the money where the law puts it: with you.
Who publishes it
Radif Partners is a company that builds calculators from public texts and open data. It is not a public body, a law firm or a claims company, and it has no link with any airline, airport, regulator or enforcement body. It sells nothing, receives no commission, carries no affiliate links and asks for no name or email.

Where the figures come from
The rules are read on the official texts: Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 and its amendment by Regulation (EU) 2026/2202, the retained UK261 on legislation.gov.uk, Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulations, and the judgments of the Court of Justice that set the three-hour rule. Airport coordinates come from OurAirports, released into the public domain. The method page sets out every rule the calculator applies; the editorial policy explains how errors are corrected.
What it does not do
It does not know why your flight was late: the airline does. It cannot send a claim, negotiate or go to court for you. Its result is general information based on what you enter, not legal advice.
